A project is born
within intersections
A project is born in the instant when eyes and words meet. It is in this encounter—the first stage of the design process—that ways of living, pauses, and everyday movements are translated into built space.
Through attentive listening, Erriá uncovers ordinary gestures that, over time, become rituals of dwelling: the coffee taken in the same armchair, the light that crosses the window, the table that grows into a place for conversation and work.
Between the initial listening and the finished space, there is a span of translation—a process in which intention takes shape. It is the moment when the gestures described begin to gain form in drawings, models, textures, and volumes. Even before reaching full scale, the project already invites touch: in the materials chosen, in the proportions suggested, in the anticipation of what will be lived there. Each detail rehearses the everyday life to come, responding, from the outset, to the body that will inhabit it.
Already, one perceives how each proportion settles into routine—how the height of a backrest, the presence of a sofa arm, or the opening of a door influences the cadence of the days. It is the experience of testing, in thought and in touch, how the home will answer to the body and to the gaze.

The result is a space that moves with those who live in it. It is not merely about aesthetics or function, but about creating places that evolve, hold stories, and quietly embrace.
This is how the initial listening becomes a tangible presence, allowing everyday life to find beauty and meaning in the simple act of living.
