Every beginning of the year carries choices. Some are obvious, others almost imperceptible, but it is within them that planning materialises over time.
In the erriá, decisions accumulate in the drawing that precedes the work, in the testing of a fitting, in the choice of a material, in the way an object touches the body or how a space responds to use. These are decisions that do not seek immediate effect, but gradually build meaning, in the time of doing.

It is in this territory that pieces like the Porta-Treco and the Almirante Shelf are formed. Not as patch solutions, but as syntheses of this continuous reasoning. In the first, a minimal gesture organises the arrival at home without imposing a fixed form. In the second, a precise structure allows movement, editing, and constant reconfiguration, enabling the space to be rewritten through use. In both, the project remains active, not closing in on the design, open to everyday life.

Throughout 2026, we continue to deepen this way of thinking. The relationship between idea and matter, between intention and use, between design gesture and inhabitation remains the central axis of our work. What expands is the freedom to follow these relationships throughout their course, from the stroke to the object, from the object to the space, from the space to the everyday.
The gaze turns with even more attention to the processes, to the drawings that organise thought, to the carpentry in construction, to the details that support the form before it is revealed in its entirety. Decisions such as the mobility of a panel, the choice of a joint, or the modularity of a system move from being backstage and become part of the project's narrative.
At the same time, the everyday gains space as a confirmation of this reasoning.
The silent rituals, the body in motion, the marks of use that inscribe themselves in the matter do not represent wear, but belonging.
They are signs that the space has found its rhythm.
Among these scales, from furniture to home, from detail to whole, what matters to us is the coherence of the journey. How a particular way of thinking traverses different contexts without losing precision. How decisions made early continue to resonate when the space is already in use.
References continue to come in organically. Travels, exhibitions, displacements, and images do not appear as separate chapters, but as natural extensions of the gaze. Everything we observe outside returns, in some way, to what we have built inside.
At the beginning of this year, we also opened up these layers of the project with more depth on the site. The new pages of Porta-Treco and Estante Almirante bring together process, intention, and use, an invitation to closely follow how these decisions are constructed and remain.
Here we expand our horizon: a year attentive to the choices that shape space even before it exists and those that continue to act after it comes to be lived.
