Designed as a living system, the Almirante Shelf articulates function, composition and visual narrative from a flexible structure capable of adapting to everyday use. Organised in a precise orthogonal grid, it allows for different configurations of opening and closing through movable elements, offering the user the possibility to define, over time, how the space presents itself and transforms. It acts as an organisational element of the room, mediating the relationship between objects, artworks and the inhabited space.
The shelf does not impose a final image. It offers a precise structure so that the space can be constantly re-edited. The act of pivoting a panel, moving an object or reconfiguring a sequence becomes part of the use, incorporating movement into the everyday experience of the home.

Your fixed structure houses pivoting panels (doors attached by a vertical axis) that allow you to partially and controllably alternate what is exposed and what remains sheltered. The decision is neither binary nor definitive: it is up to the user to choose, in daily life, which sections of the shelf open or close, creating mutable compositions. Books, objects, and artworks come together to form scenes that adapt to time, use, and the perspective of those who inhabit.
