In this duplex apartment, the design aimed to minimize structural interventions and enhance integration and functionality solutions.
A large panel was adopted as the central element of the proposal, fluidly sectioning the living room, kitchen, and circulation. With a loose and multifunctional volume, the panel connects the living, dining, and TV areas, while also organizing the use under the stairs and concealing the powder room.
The layout reflects this same reasoning: the sofa, a central piece in the space, allows for different configurations of use and socialising — a reflection of the client’s lifestyle, who frequently hosts friends.
On the upper floor, the changes were specific, prioritising spacious and well-lit bedrooms. The choices of textures and tones follow the same reference as the lower floor, ensuring visual unity and continuity between the spaces.
The concept of the Pedroso Residence was guided by the clients' desire to explore different materialities and compositions. The proposal stems from the combination of distinct textures on the walls and furniture, as well as recurring details that construct the project's visual identity.
In the social area, the focal point is the shelf developed especially for the apartment. With a modular system based on a predefined grid, the piece allows for different configurations and more relaxed compositions — aligned with the way the residents use them.
The layout reinforces this free rhythm and follows the dynamics of daily life, promoting fluidity between spaces and comfort in transitions of use.
