Loft residence designed for a furniture designer, based on the pre-existing structure of a woodworking shed belonging to the client himself. The mezzanine, located inside the shed, was incorporated as a starting point for the project.

The exposed structures were maintained and highlighted with a red finish, while the free layout accommodates pieces already produced by the resident.

Vertical circulation volumes and the bathroom core organise the flows and impose a rhythm on the space. As the accesses are positioned at the ends of the mezzanine, a more social area and a more private area were naturally defined.

Existing elements in the shed were also repurposed as dividers and supports, respecting the grid structured by the architecture itself and by the shed roof.

Light openings were created to promote cross ventilation and natural lighting, while preserving the privacy of the environment.
